We are seeking to appoint a ILS Engineer on a permanent contract based in the Cambridge area commutable from Huntingdon, Royston, Newmarket and Letchworth.
Requirements
As ILS Engineer, you will report to the ILS Manager and will be required to:
* To Undertake ILS tasks in accordance with the customer requirements and to ensure that customer requirements are met or exceeded.
* To ensure that all Training is undertaken in the most cost effective manner to achieve a quality level to exceed customers' expectations.
* To ensure that the ILS tasks are undertaken and managed in accordance with the ILS programme.
Applicants will be responsible for:
* Undertaking the ILS tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-60 and customer specifications.
* Identifying any problem areas of the design that would have a high cost and supportability impact on the product and to recommend alternative solutions.
* Undertaking Reliability tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-40 and 00-41 and customer specifications.
* Identifying areas of poor reliability in the design and recommend improvements or alternatives solutions.
* Undertaking Maintainability tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-40 and 00-41 and customer specifications.
Further information
You must have an Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification along with 2 years Engineering experience / 2 year Integrated Logistic Support experience minimum. Experience of Eagle software essential plus Relex desirable.
Knowledge of MSV military shelter systems Design. MAX MRP System, Defence Standards and Environments. Awareness of military support skills and capabilities. A full understanding of Quality Management and Control systems.
Knowledge and use of ILS, Reliability and Maintainability.
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation Requirements.
