Principal RF Engineer is required for this expanding leading edge defence organisation to lead RF development on communications & Electronic Warfare programmes.
You will be responsible for; Requirements analysis & specification writing for RF systems. RF design of and implementation for communication and/or EW systems (primarily HF to V/UHF). Support the demonstration, deployment & maintenance of such systems. Mentoring of junior engineers in the areas of RF theory & implementation. Contribute to the planning & estimation of project schedules and to quality processes
You will have a good degree in electronics/physics/engineering related subject with proven experience in industry. Proven experience in the design, implementation and integration of RF circuitry into communications products at system and board level. Modern Surface Mount component techniques including familiarity with screening, housing, and interface / interconnect design. Analysis and computer simulation for design optimisation. Thorough understanding of digital control of RF circuits. Understanding of power supplies, linear & switching. Analogue circuit design, eg op-amps, BJT and FET circuits. Interfacing to signal processing sections and RF power amplifier design.
Also it would be highly desirable to have knowledge & practical experience of project management lifecycle and experience as a team leader. You will have the enthusiasm & flexibility necessary to work on a broad range of projects of varying size and complexity, within a dynamic company.
