New Product Introduction Project Engineer

This role is based in Essex

To assist the Product Engineering Manager in ensuring the smooth integratin of the engineering and manufacturing phases of product lifecycle through concurrent engineering processes. This role requires tenacity, enthusiasm and willingness to work with Italian and other external organisations to facilitate World Class manufacturing performance, with the ability to support NPI projects ranging from single products, to a major system with multi-product, multi-company and multi-site aspects.

A focused team player, the New Product Introduction Project Engineer will have a strong technical background, be able to demonstrate first class people and planning skills and have a methodical approach to work. This role demands a positive, self-motivated individual who relishes a challenge and can motivate others through their own drive. An ability to think laterally and implement change is essential.

You will be responsible for supporting the integration of the engineering and manufacturing phases of product lifecycle. Through involvement in the definition and development phase, ensure that products are designed for manufacturability and testability with particular recognition of the target manufacturing facility. Ensure new designs make best use of preferred components and materials from preferred suppliers. Promote conformance to concurrent engineering practices. Establish manufacturing strategies for A model, B Model and Pre-production phases. Suport the target-manufacturing site in the development of main product strategy and subsequent establishment of the manufacturing facilities. Ensure alignment with Group Product Engineering strategy.
