Our client is part of a major global aerospace group. Based on the South Coast, it is responsible for the design and manufacture of metallic and composite structures for both the civil and military aerospace markets. Due to the winning of a major new civil aircraft structures(metallic and composite) contract a permanent Fatigue Engineer is required to be based at Southampton.
Requirements
You will carry out fatigue and damage tolerance calculations using both hand calculations and Airbus UK Stress Suite or Damtol. You will liaise with Airbus and its supply base and produce clear and concise technical reports.
Further information
You will be degree qualified and have aerospace fatigue and damage tolerance experience, preferably hand and computer methods. Damtol, or Airbus UK Stress suite or other relevant experience is required. A good knowledge of aircraft structures, production methods and possibly MRB (Materials Review Board/Concessions) would be very helpful. You will have generated stress office notes and documentation.
