Requirements
Take responsibility and ownership for EMC, Product Safety including qualification on military projects, and take ownership of processes in these areas. Provide co ordination and support of EMC, Product Safety and Qualification issues across the Company. Drive processes and Codes of Practice. To be the “Company Expert” on design for EMC performance. Supervision or assistance with qualification including E marking. Assist the preparation of technical documentation relating to DEF STAN and MIL specification product/ system qualification. Drive company processes such that EMC compliance and product/systems safety is enshrined in the design life cycle. Central point on Product and System Safety issues. Represent the company at customer/external EMC and Safety working groups. Maintain current company EMC and Safety knowledge up to date including but not limited to changing legislation. Co ordinate Compliance Test activities. Advise on design for Compliance Test in Projects supporting problem resolution throughout the design life cycle. Manage Test House relationships and provide assistance to project external test activity. Any other activity as reasonably required.

Further information
Proven experience in electronic design for Compliance (EMC Safety), within military projects. Intimate knowledge of EMC/Safety compliance specifications and test procedures. Sound working knowledge of Def Stan, MIL Std, CE, E Marking, LVD etc. Desirable: Degree preferred, however experience will be considered in lieu. Knowledge of product design lifecycle. Special Features: Thorough knowledge and understanding of EMC and E marking: specifications and implementation issues, including documentation of Compliance. Also of Product and System Safety: specifications and implementation issues, including documentation of Compliance. Behaviours: Respect for others. Encourages and fosters teamwork. Gently assertive.
