Company
Programmes Director to deliver all projects including those for Military Vehicles. Deliverables: to be agreed, but to include the delivery of significant military vehicle programmes.

Requirements
Will co-ordinate with project managers to ensure the company resources to ensure delivery. Customer’, whether IST or MoD.To act as focal point for delivery. Will report progress to management, using PMO Admin resource. Will liaise across all aspects of business.

Further information
Excellent project management skills with defence background, including recently working direct to MoD so aware of their current polices and processes. Excellent communication and people management skills. Good ‘business’ skills to ensure we are joined-up across PM, engineering, operations, commercial, financial and logistics functions. Commercial background with some defence experience, rather than the other way around. Vehicles experience desirable. Programmes Director, i.e. used to managing portfolios of multiples projects rather than just a senior project manager. Need an existing Programme Director rather than one on ‘promotion’. Need interim to perm: emphasis is on need to have a permanent with a preceding interim phase whilst the MoD’s decision on our projects becomes clearer and an opportunity for both the company and candidate to see how the relationship develops. Not interested in people who do not want permanent role or have a doubt about it. Organisational position: works for Managing Director.
